A rather expressive title, if not particularly articulate.

Anyway, still in the middle of another frogblasted heat wawe... and we (intended as "we in my country") kind of having it better of the whole north of Europe which is roasting from temperatures never seen even in that horrible 2003 heat wave.

While here in Northeast Italy is kind of a mixed bag, in higher latitudes houses are usually built to keep heat in. Which is kind of useful when you used to have seasons where the heat was a week a year top. Now, however...

I don't envy you at all, fellow northern Europeans. And sadly, most of advice I could give aren't applicable to these kind of homes... the "rolling shutters down and door ajar during day, fling open everything during nights" has a chance to function with these kind of windows (notice light protection outside the glass) and decently insulated brick houses; but absolutely unsuitable if shutters are inside or absent. Also, swamp coolers and similar are basically useless in a humid weather.

Putting wrists under cold water for a while could help, however; other than the stuff is already commonly known, like hydrate, get a fan... or take refuge in parks or shopping malls.

(Also, trying to not get angry might help, psychologically. But I just had the news that my father has to undergo surgery for the third *bleeep*ing time and I'm fuming.)

who?
