Being lazy means going for the Window version of a program because is already compiled, throwing the whole bunch of programs and prerequisites in WINE/Crossover and hoping for the best. And so I got Weland, Vasara, ShapeFusion and Atque: all the tools necessary to make maps in Marathon.

By no means I'm able to make a functioning map at the moment (and even lesser able to make a map that has some playability value) but this is how I relax: tinkering with stuff.

If I got it correctly neither Visual Mode nor Vasara can get that convenient (to me) height polygon adjuster thing. I guess I just have to get used to the new workflow. And plan on paper first.

Fun tidbit: I goy M:Inf a few months after the USA release (import times were these at the end of the nineties...) and I remember starting to make things in Forge. The only completed map I ever made was a map I made for the husband's birthday: its layout spelled "happy birthday" (lots of automatic teleporters between a letter-room and another!) and the terminal at end had one of the sappiest stuff I ever wrote :D

Damn! That is so cool! I wish I could make stuff like this and understand how it works.

That had to be an amazing birthday gift! I bet he loved it! ^_^

You've made something of greater substance (past and present) than what I've ever made in Forge or Weland so far. XD

COOL STUFF. I am highly impressed! ♥ I never even really figured out how to use Forge back in the day, though my sister and I tried... And that sounds like a very sweet gift, heh.
