Well, I hoped to have work to do during this emergency situation. Beware what you ask, said Destiny, because you can get it.

OK, that's just an awkward way to say that I'm swamped in deadlines, I han hovever grateful because I'm a freelancer and no-work==no-money and that's bad. Also, I have to switch medication again because between what's happening in the world and what's happening to me at a personal level is leaving me running on fumes from weeks and months and I'm feeeling I'm coming to a crash.

Enough with real life. Just blathering to get a small pause.

Fandom-wise I was mumbling about a couple things. First one, I've seen Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal playthroughs and still not a fan of the gore but oh boy how I have the dream of seeing Marathon with that level of graphics and concept design. Plus, the "badass killing machine sent here and there by an artificial intelligence then it gets complicated and look, we have lore too!" of course gets my attention.

Second one, I realized I drew Alex in the first two stage of Rampancy: despair and rage.

Now the logic would have me drawing the envy state. I'd rather avoid being too on the nose with big guns and waaay too easy jokes, but whoa does the idea of having Doom Slayer borrowing Alex the BFG9000 tempt me a bit to think at a way to get to that crossover -- Infinity version, which kinda level the playfield a bit.

OK, end pause. Back to work.

...he actually was close to doing something this in the Fanfic Of Doom, and the ship in question was a Starfleet ship, Voyager class, named USS Marathon (because WHAT ELSE) -- but he was still directed by Durandal.

Oof - sorry about the deadlines (but glad you have work!). D: I hope things reach a more manageable balance.

My personal greatest petty grievance with the universe is that Marathon still doesn't have the glorious high-def remake/sequel it deserves. ;_; I love Destiny with all my heart, but I want to see Lh'owon looking as beautiful as Io or Nessus or Mars does in Destiny! I want Durandal and Leela and Tycho to get voice acting!! I WANT - A JUMP BUTTON!! *deep breaths* ... yeah, oops, I have too many feelings about that. XD I just - keep dreaming...

Ooh, Envy stage!Alex does sound like an interesting challenge. :D

I'm glad too, considering *gesticulates aroud* things.

I've seen only some screenshot of Destiny but I share the same petty grievance! And I managed to cobble together a script for jumping, taking code here and there and asking on the Discords. But of course that would break the gameplay of the original games... (I also made the error of asking about that in the pfhorums. Nevermore.)

It is, because outside ridicolous jokes I can't think at anything.

How I imagine Alex is the exact opposite of these sentiments. But still, he cares for Durandal -- for reasons I wrote in that wall of blathers of a post after this -- but I don't know how to render this properly. I mean, Alex can be overprotective, but in a positive way (except for whom is threatening what he want to protect) while the third stage is still intended as a negative...
